When bad things happen to good people it is hard not to question: “Where was God when this happened?”

This question was asked when Julie Kemp went through a terrible car accident that instantly killed her husband, Andy. The incident sent heir 8-year-old son, Landon in a coma, suffering from head trauma.

The family’s car crashed with an ambulance. Andy died instantly.

Kemp was stabilized but her son was missing from the scene. Rescuers found a child’s shoe and they started looking for him, only to find him trapped inside the vehicle.

Landon was transported to Carolina’s Medical Center after he required resuscitation after being pulled out of the car. It was at the hospital where the boy was brought back to life twice.

Doctors said that his chance of surviving is small and even if he survived Landon’s brain damage would affect his ability to talk, walk, and eat.

At her husband’s funeral, Kemp couldn’t help feeling disappointed and angry at God.

She shared her thoughts, “I don’t understand why He didn’t send angels to protect us. But in the very next breath I’m praying as hard to Him as I’ve ever prayed in my life for Landon to live.”

Finally, God has answered the mother’s prayer and Landon woke up out of the two-week coma with no other side-effects.

He said that he saw his Dad in Heaven.

Landon told his mother that he also saw two other children, which made her think back to her two miscarriages.

“And he saw them in heaven…He did not know that we had lost two children before him,”

The miracle boy also shared an important message: “Jesus came to me and told me that I have to go back to earth and be a good Christian and tell others about Him…I just want people to realize that Jesus is real, there is a heaven, there are angels.”

From this experience Kemp’s faith has been changed forever and she knows that angels were with them!
