9-Year-Old Dies In Early Morning Crash
A child has died, and 3 other people injured in a crash on Christmas morning.
According to the Fort Pierce Police Department, the crash took place at the intersection of Cortez and Sunrise Boulevards around 4:40 a.m. on Monday.
A 2005 Toyota Corolla was traveling east when it crashed into an unoccupied Ford pickup truck.
Julio Ruiz was driving the Corolla at the time. He was in stable condition after the crash.
Issac Santillan, who just turned 9-years-old, died at the scene.
His 5-year-old sister was critically injured and then transported to St. Mary’s Medical center.
A female passenger had to be extracted from the vehicle and was transported in critical condition.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
