A Creek County toddler has died in a drowning on Saturday evening. The boy was found in a pool around 6 p.m. in the 8900 bLock of South 39th West Avenue.
The boy was taken to the hospital in Tulsa where he died, according to Corporal Patrick Bradshaw, Creek County Sheriff’s Office.
Tulsa Fire Department Public Information Officer Stan May said that a neighbor drove to a nearby fire station to ask for help after the boy was found in the pool. The boy is about 2 years of age, he said.
Bradshaw said that they are investigating but it appears to be a tragic accident.
A neighbor told News On 6 that the child was staying with his grandparents.
