Princess Charlotte And Prince George Will Be Bridesmaid And Page Boy At The Next Royal Wedding
The imminent Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has already caused a frenzy around the globe. And now, just a week after the long-awaited announcement, the details are beginning to emerge much to the delight of spectators around the world.
It has been confirmed that the couple will tie the knot in St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in May 2018, the same place the Prince was baptized 33 years ago.
According to the Sunday Times, two very small familiar faces will be taking part in the nuptials, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Prince George will reportedly be pageboy in the wedding, while his younger sister, Princess Charlotte will be a bridesmaid.
Despite being only 4 and 2 years old, the Royal siblings are no strangers to wedding duties, having taken part in their Aunt Pippa’s wedding in May 2017.
A spokesperson for the palace said that “The wedding will be a family event. You can expect the family to be involved.” There is no word as yet as to what roles the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will have at the wedding, however, the couple is expecting their third child in April so they are no doubt as busy as the happy couple.
Speaking to the BBC after their engagement news broke; Prince Harry explained that his future wife has met his brother and sister-in-law on many occasions, praising the Duke and Duchess for support. “Catherine’s been absolutely amazing, as has William, as well, you know, a fantastic support,” he gushed.
During his Royal visit to Finland last week, Prince William spoke about his excitement for his younger brother and his own personal excitement, telling reporters “We’re very excited, delighted for them both and we’re wishing them all the happiness in this very exciting time. And for me personally, I hope it means he stays out of my fridge, and will stop him scrounging off of my food that he’s done over the last few years.”
We’re not sure how well that will work out, with Harry and Meghan expected to live in Nottingham Cottage, a few doors away from William and Kate on the grounds of Kensington Palace.
Harry and Meghan have been together for a year and a half and somehow managed to keep their relationship predominantly out of the public eye. They only made their first official public appearance together in September of this year at the opening ceremonies of the Invictus Games in Toronto.
Meghan Markle is a star in her own right, no stranger to the limelight as an actress in hit US TV show Suits since 2011, and editor-in-chief of lifestyle website ‘The Tig’. She is also known for her humanitarian work which has seen her visit countries around the world on charity endeavors.
However, since news of her engagement to Prince Harry, Meghan has announced her retirement from acting; she also shut down her website The Tig in April this year as her romance with the Prince began to heat up.
So now for the next 5 months, all eyes are on the couple as they prepare for the biggest event of the year and another Royal Wedding bonanza.
