Police Arrest 14-Year-Old Boy After Facebook Live Sexual Assault Of 15-Year-Old Girl
Police have confirmed that a 14-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the sexual assault of a 15-year-old female that was streamed on Facebook Live.
Chicago Police Department spokesman Anthony Guglielmi tweeted “Tonight, CPD arrested 1st of several juvenile offenders in Facebook sexual assault incident,”
The suspect has been charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault, manufacturing child pornography, and dissemination of child pornography.
“Additional arrests are expected as the investigation continues,” Guglielmi said in a press release.
It is believed that up to 6 males were involved in the assault of the teenage girl, who’s a freshman at Chicago’s Lake Tech High School.
The Facebook Live video of the incident on March 19 was viewed by at least 40 people, but none of them contacted the police.
The victim’s mother contacted the police after her daughter had been missing for a day.
Police are scheduled to release further details shortly.
