Police: 13-year-old boy taken at knife point and sexually assaulted by man in Md.

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (ABC7) —
Police in Anne Arundel County, Maryland say a man has been arrested and charged for taking a 13-year-boy at knife point and sexually assaulting him on Labor Day in Glen Burnie.
Sobhy Fariz Narouz Abdelmalak, 50, of Glen Burnie has been charged with first degree assault, a second degree sex offense, sodomy and false imprisonment.
According to authorities, the boy said he was walking on Somerset Drive at around 7:43 p.m. Monday when Abdelmalak ran up to him with a knife and pulled him into a house. The boy told police that Abdelmalak then “pushed him onto a bed” and sexually assaulted him.
Police say the boy called officers after the assault and that investigators continue to search for information. If you have any information on the case, police ask that you call 410-222-4732.

Marine Colonel Sentenced to 5-1/2 Years for Molesting Child

A decorated Marine colonel was sentenced to 5-1/2 years behind bars after being found guilty of sexually abusing a six-year-old girl, a military jury of colonels and generals determined Sunday.

Col. Daniel Wilson, 56, was convicted of sexual abuse of a child for touching her genitalia, but found not guilty on counts of raping the child by penetrating her with his fingers and of sexually assaulting another adult woman on multiple occasions.

Wilson was also found guilty of conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman for a series of instances of crude behavior amid heavy alcohol consumption, including sexual remarks to a colleague’s wife, which got him fired from a liaison posting in Darwin, Australia, 10 days into the job.

The trial stretched 10 days and included testimony from the child Wilson abused as well as her sisters and parents.

Military attorneys for the prosecution described how Wilson and his wife had befriended the family last summer, and how the child had accused him after a two-week period in which the families saw each other frequently. Wilson was alone with the child unsupervised on multiple occasions, and her parents testified that he appeared to pay special attention to her on evenings they spent together.

He was fired from his job as operations officer for II Marine Expeditionary Force aboard Lejeune amid an investigation into those allegations.

Wilson was also sentenced to be dismissed from the Marine Corps. He will receive credit for previous time served: nearly eight months in the Camp Lejeune brig, where he was sent in January after the second set of sexual assault allegations surfaced. It wasn’t immediately clear whether he or his family would still be eligible for retirement pay or other benefits.

Another Camp Lejeune officer’s wife claimed Wilson twice assaulted her in late December 2016, while she and the Wilsons were on a trip to Beaufort, South Carolina, and sharing a hotel room suite. Wilson was ultimately acquitted on those charges, but was found guilty of unauthorized absence for making the trip without permission from his command.

Wilson entered the Marine Corps in 1981, serving first as an enlisted Marine, and was promoted to colonel in 2010. He had served 11 deployments, earning, among other awards, a Bronze Star.

A spokesman for II MEF, Lt. Col. Michael Armistead, said it wasn’t immediately clear where Wilson will serve his sentence.

Woman Charged With Stabbing Newborn, Baby’s Father; Says God Told Her To Do It

A Pittsburgh-area woman stabbed her eight-day-old son and his father Friday, police said, claiming the child was created “by the devil.”

Tanishia Fielder, 32, is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault and related charges.

The baby was stabbed near his eye. Neither his condition nor his father’s are known.

Police responding to the scene arrested Fielder when they arrived, as she allegedly told them, “I stabbed the baby, that’s the devil baby,” according to a criminal complaint.

Police say Fielder said she stabbed them because God told her to do it, according to the complaint. She said God told her she needed to kill the baby, dismember him and throw him in the garbage because he was “by the devil.”

Police found a knife hidden beneath a garbage bin behind the apartment building. Witnesses who attempted to help the victims before Fielder chased them away told police she was carrying a knife that matched the one found under the bin, according to the complaint.

The boy’s father, Darwin Hanner, told police he and Fielder got into an argument earlier in the day and he saw her with a knife, according to the complaint. He said she chased him and the baby with the knife and the baby was stabbed and was bleeding.
