Man Allegedly Murders Pregnant Wife With A Sword Then Waits for Police With Toddler
Police have charged a man from Pennsylvania for allegedly stabbing and killing his pregnant wife with a sword. After committing the act, the man then called authorities, police said.
35-year-old John Ziegler III, allegedly struck his wife with the sword, killing her and their unborn baby. He reportedly then called the Police and waited with his 2-year-old son until they arrived.
Ziegler surrendered peacefully according to reports. His 25-year-old wife was pronounced dead at the scene.
At the scene, a Scimitar style sword was recovered.
The parent’s 2-year-old son, who was unharmed, was taken into the custody of York County Children, Youth, and Families.
Ziegler has been charged with criminal homicide as well as criminal homicide of an unborn child.
