Kim Kardashian West: “Surrogacy Was The Best Decision I Ever Made”

The Kardashians has certainly had plenty to talk about the last few months!

From new babies to crazy outbursts to new products launching, added with LOTS of drama.

Kim Kardashian West recently stopped by Live with Kelly and Ryan last week, and she dished about all kinds of Kardashian happenings.

She opened up about her kids, motherhood, and how her sisters are doing.

Kim also sort of addressed the Khloe/Tristan cheating drama! But, the last time she mentioned it publicly she was blocked on social media by Tristan, so she kept her comments pretty tame.

One of the most surprising parts of the interview came when Kim spoke about surrogacy.

Kim and husband Kanye West welcomed their third child, Chicago, via surrogate earlier this year.

On the show, Kim called surrogacy the best decision she’s ever made.

People just love drama, and they always somehow find a way to nitpick at Kim Kardashian West and the way she chooses to live her life!

She’s been pretty open about the issues she had during both of her pregnancies.

After her son Saint was born, her doctors cautioned her against carrying another child herself. But luckily for them, they have the means to have more children using other methods.

They found a surrogate and daughter Chicago was born in January.

Kim says that the process of finding someone to entrust with this monumental task wasn’t easy. She said that she chose to let the surrogate know upfront who they were, even though they’re not legally required to do so.

Kim said, “When you’re starting the process, you don’t have to technically let them know it’s you. I wanted to give her the opportunity to choose us as well. What if she wasn’t a fan? We have amazing fans but we also have crazy haters. I wouldn’t want that energy around my baby. I wanted them to be respectful and like who I am as a person and want to take that responsibility on.”

Given that her pregnancy history and risks, surrogacy was certainly the safest option for Kim. But some people still miss being pregnant, giving birth, and breastfeeding when they go this route. Not Kim!

Kim admitted during the interview that she would possibly want 1 more child, and it sounds like surrogacy would be on the table in that instance, too. She said, “I really, really enjoyed the surrogacy process. I will say, when it came to the breastfeeding time, I was like, “Okay, this is the best decision I ever made.’”

“It’s a game changer, having to not go through [nursing] every few hours,” Kim explained. “I can spend so much more time with the older kids and getting them used to the baby.”

Kim Kardashian West welcomed Chicago in January while half sister Kylie Jenner had Stormi in February. Khloe Kardashian gave birth to True in April.

Kim says the sisters totally connect as mothers and have similar parenting styles.

“We think we vibe,” Kim says. “We’re on a group chat 24/7 and it’s always like, ‘Wait, what’s the new monitor? What formula are you using?”
