A Girl Scout in California has upped her cookie game after setting up a table outside a marijuana dispensary.

According to her Dad, she sold over 300 boxes of cookies in less than 6 hours.

The enormous sales have been met with controversy over fairness to sales rules and security for the Scout.

Excitement grew after the dispensary shared a picture on their Instagram promoting the cookies while protecting the scouts identity.

The official sales for the cookies don’t even start for another week!

This scout not only beat the rush, clearly found her target market, and advertised – she also sold more than twenty times the average amount of boxes that Girl Scout sells during the entire fundraiser in less than 6 hours.

Some states, such as Colorado, have discouraged or even banned the practice of selling the cookies in front of dispensaries. But that is not the case in Southern California where early sales are not disallowed, as long as a parent or guardian is present.

So if that’s what they say they were doing … then they were right within the rules,” said the Scout’s father said.

The chief communications officer from Girl Scouts of the USA Kelly Parisi told reporters that each region of Girl Scouts has its own guidelines.

“All the money stays in local councils, and they make all decisions on how the cookie program is run,” she said in a statement. “As always, our primary concern is the safety and well-being of the girls we serve. Volunteers and parents are empowered to relocate their booths if conditions change and the location is no longer suitable.”
