Federal officials have issued a warning to parents about the possible dangers of teething medicines.
The FDA has also asked manufacturers to quit selling their products for use by babies and toddlers.
The FDA said that various gels and creams, including 4 Orajel teething brands, contain the Benzocaine.
Benzocaine can cause rare but deadly side effects in little children, especially those 2-years-old and younger.
The agency has been warning about the product for more than 10 years but said that reports of illnesses and deaths have continued.
And now it wants the teething product off the market.
