Dad Charged In Murder of Concord Toddler
The Manchester Police Department arrested and charged Jocarl Bureau with second-degree murder in the death of his 3-year-old daughter.
According to Authorities, the 22-year-old recklessly caused the death of Jayleah Bureau, who was found unresponsive at 43 Canton Circle in Concord in March of 2016.
The toddler was brought to Concord Hospital but was ultimately pronounced dead.
The autopsy revealed that she was the victim of a homicide and Bureau was arrested in Manchester this week.
Although the Bureaus no longer live in their Concord home, news of the arrest has their former neighbors talking.
Dylon Montminy, who lived next to the family said “It’s horrible,”. He also said that he would sometimes see Jayleah outside but the family kept very much to themselves.
“The wife or the mom, whoever she was, was always really nice. But I didn’t know the other guy, never said anything to me,” Montminy said.
The autopsy reports indicate that Jayleah died of blunt force trauma to the abdomen.
Montminy says that after the police hype died down, he did not hear anything else about the case and really never expected this to be the outcome.
