Viral: Cop Shows up at House on Abuse Call, Doesn’t Know He’s About to Find His Son There

People often underestimate what they would do in a situation that calls for selflessness and sacrifice. It may seem impossible to muster up the courage, but when it comes down to it, many people find that doing the right thing is easier than imagined.

One police officer from Poteau, Oklahoma, showed a sense of responsibility above and beyond what is expected from anyone. After responding to a child abuse call, he made an incredible decision that changed his life and his family forever.

When Officer Jody Thompson arrived at the scene of abuse, he was horrified. He discovered an 8-year-old boy named John who had been treated disgustingly by his own parents.

The boy was bound by his hands and feet, starving, and soaking wet. Allegedly, his parents had submerged him in a trash can and then forcibly held him in the shower.

Thompson took the boy to the hospital and stayed by his side during recovery. Then, Officer Thompson made the most selfless and loving decision for that boy.

“When I’d seen him in that house shivering and his hands tied — just soaking wet and confused — I knew at that moment the only time I would be satisfied and sure that he was safe is if he was with me,” Thompson said of the moment he realized what he had to do.

He and his wife decided to adopt John into their family. John is now 10 years old, thriving at school, and so loved by his new family.

“He is helpful to me,” said John, “He’s the reason I’m here right now.”

Amazingly, Thompson and his wife did not stop there. When they learned that John’s biological mother had given birth to a baby girl while in prison, they adopted her, too.

The U.S. Marshals say they’re trying to track down an alleged sexual predator in Central Texas before he finds his next victim.

BREAKING NEWS: Local man accused of targeting single mothers so he can prey on their kids

“We’re looking for Tomas Gutierrez,” Supervisory Deputy Marshal Hector Gomez. “He also goes by the name of Tomas Hernandez.”

Gomez says Tomas Gutierrez is 35 years old and is wanted for continuous sexual abuse of a child. The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force says he’s a sexual predator who targets single mothers.
“He’s an opportunist,” Gomez said. “He appears to seek out women who have children. Young children.”
Gomez says he slowly builds trust with the victim.

“He would buy her toys and buy her items of value,” Gomez said.
The arrest warrant says, “Tomas Gutierrez gave her a cell phone to use and told her to go into the bedroom.”
Gomez says that’s when the abuse started.
“When the victim’s mother was away from the home working is when Tomas Gutierrez began his criminal conduct,” Gomez said.
So far finding Gutierrez has been difficult. Investigators say he does various trade jobs in Austin and he has his name tattooed on his left arm. But so far he’s been a ghost to law enforcement.

“He has been able to live here in virtual anonymity,” Gomez said. “He doesn’t have a criminal history. He has lived in this country illegally. We don’t know when he came in. He doesn’t have so much as a traffic ticket.”
Gutierrez has family in Austin the area and may be in and out of Central Texas on a regular basis.
“Any child that Gutierrez comes into contact is a potential victim,” Gomez said. “We’ve got to put a stop to people like Tomas Gutierrez.”
If you have any information on Tomas Gutierrez, you are asked to call the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force Tip Line at 512-800-4213.

Often, people underestimate the role of militaries in our lives.

Viral: Boy Wears A Uniform To School To Honor His Brother. When He Returns, His Eyes Are Full Of Tears

We don’t see them every day, but that’s just because they are busy protecting us and our kids. Sometimes, they are not even on the territory of our country, but they do their job only to keep us safe.

Unfortunately, people just either don’t know that or don’t want to acknowledge the fact. However, the families of the military still live among us and need our support. Only the kids of soldiers know how hard it is when your father is away for months. And in addition to the pressure they already have, sometimes, we add up even more.

11-year-old Aaron has a brother, Isaiah Picklesimer, who is a military. He is often away from home, and that’s why the boy misses him a lot. He understands how important his job is for the society and feels sad about the pressure put on the military.

One day, Aaron was so sad and asked his mom to wear a military uniform to school. Here’s what his mother said:

I encouraged him to do what made his heart feel better, but warned him some kids may have something negative to say.

Do you see this kid? He woke up missing his Sailor brother and decided to wear his Navy uniform to school. I encouraged him to do what made his heart feel better, but warned him some kids may have something negative to say. Well I just picked him up and he informed me of all the hateful bullying things that were said to him. “Hey pajama boy”, “nice costume stupid”, “you look like a joke”. He assured me he stood his ground and informed these punk kids that he was proudly wearing his UNIFORM in honor of his Navy brother and to Shut Up, but I know he is still bothered by it as anyone would be.

I am livid that my son was mocked all day for supporting his Navy brother. I am angry that he had to be put down for something that made him feel less sad today. I am sad that kids are so cruel to others KNOWING they wouldn’t want anything like this done to them. I am disappointed that parents don’t teach their children that bullying is wrong.
So to the kids who don’t know my son, I hope this post finds your parents. I hope you learn how your rude, hateful words made a kid already sad feel even worse. I hope you learn that bullying is not ok. I hope you aren’t treated the way you treat others.
To the 3 boys that stepped up to tell Isaiah how great he looked this afternoon, THANK YOU.

After the boy came from school, his mom saw him very sad. Unfortunately, her son got bullied because of the uniform. On that day, she wrote a letter and posted it on Facebook:

Last week Isaiah was bullied for wearing his uniform to show support for his brother. He decided he would wear it every Friday no matter what was said. Yesterday Nate found Isaiah at school and asked if he was wearing his uniform. When Isaiah said “yes”, Nate said “good I’m wearing mine too”. Nate is another example of the amazing support Isaiah has received.

Soon, it went viral, and lots of people supported the mom and her son in wearing the uniform. What is more, one of their neighbors expressed his wish to wear his grandfather’s uniform to school as well.

But the most fascinating thing was that Aaron’s brother was given a permission to drive home and meet his beloved brother! Here’s the video about how it went!

Just watch it and share this awesome story with your friends and family!
