Toddler Drowns In Long County

An 18-month-old Long County toddler was found drowned in a family pool on Sunday morning.
Long County Sheriff’s Detective Nicky Anderson said that the boy was found submerged in the pool at a residence on Winton Cowart Road around 10 a.m.
A Ludowici/Long County Volunteer and Rescue Fire Chief, Chris Moss, said that his firefighters Bob Hefley and Kaitlyn Walker arrived at the home within 2 minutes of receiving the call of a possible drowning.
Moss said that the parents and grandparents were performing CPR on the child.
Firefighters then took over, trying to revive the youngster until emergency medical personnel arrived and rushed the child to Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville where he was later pronounced dead.
