Shocking Video: Florida Mother Lets Snake Bite Her Baby To ‘Teach A Lesson’

A Florida Mother is getting flack after she posted a video to Facebook, which shows a rat snake biting her baby daughter.

The mother reportedly has “no regrets” after she allowed the snake to intentionally bite the child several times.

“It had bitten me and my son and didn’t leave a mark, several times,” she said to WFTS. “So, I thought it was a good opportunity to introduce her without actually getting hurt.”

The Facebook video has been removed from her profile and the Highlands County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the incident.

In the video, the mother holds up a container with a rat snake inside and then lets her daughter reach toward the snake. You can actually hear the daughter flinch and cry every time the snake strikes her.

The mother said that her 1-year-old daughter was not hurt because the snake has teeth “too small to actually puncture the skin,” WFTS reported.

Her intention was to in fact teach her child a “valuable lesson” on how to handle reptiles, she said.
