Britney Spears has shared a video clip of the exact moment she broke her foot.

The 38-year-old singer has been forced to wear a cast recently after injuring herself, and on Wednesday she gave fans look at the reason why.

The If U Seek Amy hitmaker was dancing in her home studio when the accident happened, with the sound of her bone breaking heard in the clip.

She captioned the video: ‘I haven’t danced in six months so I was full throttle at this spot !!!!

‘And yes …. I know I’m barefoot …. don’t laugh but I grip the floor better that way !!!! PS you can hear where I broke my foot here ….. sorry it’s kind of loud !!!!! [sic]’.

In the clip, Britney could be seen wearing a white crop top and black shorts whilst dancing around barefoot.

As soon as the break happened she fell down and held on to her foot.

It was a loud noise: The sound of the break could be heard at the end of the clip

Last week she was spotted wearing a medical boot on her left foot while out and about in Los Angeles.

And the exact diagnosis and cause of Spears’ injury was revealed by the pop star’s boyfriend, Sam Asghari, in a sweet Instagram post.

‘[M]y lioness broke her metatarsal bone on her foot doing what she loves which is dancing,’ wrote the personal trainer.

The Iranian hunk shared video and images of the Toxic hitmaker in hospital, after having had her leg set in a cast.

Sam adorably wrote ‘STRONGER’ on the cast, in a nod to one of his love’s many hit songs, from her 2000 album Oops! … I Did It Again.

Asghari’s full caption read, ‘When you break something it tends to heal stronger specially when you’re my Girl [OK HAND EMOJI] my lioness broke her metatarsal bone on her foot doing what she loves which is dancing [DANCING EMOJI] Wishing her the best recovery so she can jump, run, and dance her butt off [FLEX EMOJI].

Despite the heartwarming sentiments, there is no scientific evidence to support Sam’s claim that bones heal stronger than ever after being broken.

Spears and Asghari have been dating since meeting on the set of her Slumber Party music video in 2016.

Just before she shared the clip, the siren posted a video for her 23.6M Instagram followers that showed her on the beach.

The star was on vacation in Maui, Hawaii as she splashed around on the shore.

The singer was in a tiny yellow string bikini as she walked on the strand then rolled around on the shore as washes splashed up. It is not known when the video was taken.
