Red Hot Chilli Peppers Frontman Saves Baby’s Life While Filming Carpool Karaoke

In a recent radio interview, Anthony Kiedis, frontman of rock group Red Hot Chilli Peppers revealed that he saved a baby’s life while filming James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke.

The incident was not however caught on camera but Kiedis shared the sequence of events while on radio.

After a dance-off with James Corden, they planned to celebrate with some Mexican food, however just before they set off for a restaurant on the corner,

“A woman came out of her house holding a child, crying, ‘My baby, my baby, my baby can’t breathe!’”

Kiedis then attempted CPR and helped the baby breath again just before the ambulance arrived.

“We all ran across the street, the woman thrust the baby into my arms, the baby was not breathing and I thought ‘I’m gonna try and do a little baby CPR real quick, see if I can get some air in this kid.’ Tried to open the mouth, [it was] like locked shut. So, I started rubbing the belly—bubbles came out of the mouth, the eyes rolled back into place. The ambulance showed up, and I handed the baby over, who was now breathing and fine. And we went back to Carpool Karaoke.”

Kiedis is a father to an 8-year-old, so naturally his parent instincts kicked in!

He also mentioned: “It was kind of a beautiful thing that we stopped for the dance off, the baby needed help and we were there. The little baby looked at me the entire time until the ambulance came, little baby Nina.”
