Recall Alert: Teething Toy Recalled As It Poses Choking Hazard
The Manhattan Toy Company has recalled its Winkel Colorburst Activity Toy, a teething toy with a cluster of interlocking multi-colored plastic tubes attached to a small cube at the center.
Approximately 14,400 toys that were sold in stores nationwide and online during the period May 2015 to September 2016 are being recalled, along with an additional 1,000 that were sold in Canada.
Toys with the following specific lot numbers are affected by the recall:
- 206880DH
- 206880EH
- 206880HH
- 206871EH
The company voluntarily recalled the teething toy after 4 parents reported that the plastic tubes became brittle and broke off into small pieces which infants could choke on, though none of their babies were injured.
If you have this toy at home that has one of the above-mentioned lot codes on it (it’ll be found near the center cube of the toy), throw it away or bring it back to the store where you purchased it or contact The Manhattan Toy Company for a full refund.
For any questions or concerns, contact The Manhattan Toy Company at 800-541-1345 or online; click on “Recalls” at the bottom of the page.
