Mother Finds Baby Dead In Pram After Walk In Park
A Mother found her baby dead in her pram after taking her for a walk in the park.
The 20-year-old Mom, Shannon Tideswell, thought she’d make the most of the hot weather last Sunday by taking 8-month-old Maisie-Leigh Lamb out for a walk.
The day turned into a nightmare when Shannon noticed her daughter’s lips had gone blue and she wasn’t breathing.
Maisie-Leigh, who suffered from spina bifida and hydrocephalus, was rushed to a nearby hospital, but it was too late.
The Mother told Nottingham Post: ‘She was a smiley and happy baby. She had gone through so much in her short life but it didn’t affect her. She was limited in what she could do – she couldn’t move her legs and she had more strength in her right arm than her left, but she was just Maisie. We loved her and we miss her so much.’
The family are now planning a balloon release in Nottingham, on April 23, in memory of the child.
Shannon’s Mother, Tracy, said: ‘We will also be laying pink roses down for Maisie. I think there will be quite a few people, there were about 100 people interested the last time I looked.’
A fundraising campaign has been set up by Siobhain Gordon to raise money for the Queen’s Medical Centre’s E40 ward, where Maisie-Leigh spent 4 weeks after her birth.
Siobhain said on the JustGiving page: ‘Maisie sadly got her angel wings too early so let’s help Shannon with the financial side of this heartbreaking situation.’
