Mother Called ‘Irresponsible Idiot’ For Dyeing Toddler Daughter’s Hair Pink
Felicity LeBlanc, who’s just 2-years old is used to seeing her Mother, model Charity Grace, sport an array of different hair colours.
She’s naturally eager to emulate her Mothers style as much as possible and this is something Charity Grace is comfortable with her doing.
The toddler kept asking repeatedly to dye her hair a hot pink colour, Charity Grace gave in and then shared a video of her daughter having it done.
That decision to let her daughter have her hair dyed at the age of 2 has attracted a lot of heat from other parents.
Even though Charity Grace chose a Manic Panic dye – which she explains is gentle and safe for kids – and Felicity’s obvious happiness, the criticism rolled in.
There were accusations from other Mothers that her decision was rash.
“This is so irresponsible of you,” wrote one. “Of course she’s going to want it. She’s a kid! She doesn’t know what she wants! And you, the parent, should know better. She’s going to be bald by the age of 20!”
Parents also expressed their anger about the possible effects of the dye.
“Dying little children’s hair is very bad for them,” another woman added. “Their skulls and hair are not supposed to have those very harsh products on.”
This in fact made the makers of Manic Panic step in, explaining their dye is safe, conditioning, and vegan, and there’d be no danger when applying it directly to the hair follicles.
“F*** sake they died [sic] her hair pink! SHE’S LIKE 5 you complete c***!” read one.
“I’m just saying it’s f****** wrong you people are idiots.” said another.
Many comments, however, praised Charity Grace for letting her daughter have fun with her hair.
Felicity seems so happy swishing her hair, she doesn’t really care what anyone has to say either.
