This photo of a husband supporting his wife during her cancer treatment shows the absolute true meaning of “through sickness and in health”.
Mackenna Newman, 17, tweeted a photo of her Father, Jon who was outside his wife Marci’s bedroom, writing:
My mom has to stay in her room in isolation for her cancer radiation so my dad set up a desk at her door to keep her company and I’m crying pic.twitter.com/rucH9HfDvk

The image was retweeted over 7,500 times and received more than 100K likes on the Love What Matters Facebook page.
Marci was diagnosed with thyroid cancer (which spread to her lymph nodes and trachea) in October last year and Jon has been right by her side ever since.
“Jon goes to every doctor’s appointment, every blood test, every surgery, every radiation,” Marci told BuzzFeed News. “And, as you can see, if he can’t be by my side he is as close as he can get!”
