New Vaccination Law Sent Home Hundreds Of CA Children Today

Parents can no longer use personal or religious beliefs as a reason not to have their kids immunized.

Scores of California students may be sent home on their first day of school because of a new vaccine law that took effect this year.

The new state law took effect July 1.

Now, parents can no longer use personal or religious beliefs as a reason not to have their kids immunized.

This school year, kindergartners and seventh graders must show proof of immunizations.

Monday WAS the first day of school for kids in Oakland. Hundreds of them were expected to be sent home.

“There could be a few hundred kids that are not immunized and so we’ll be encouraging them as quickly as possible to get out there,” said Oakland Unified School District John Sasaki.

“Their parents may try to drop them off and we’ll have to turn them away.”

Young children who got their personal belief exemptions approved before January 2016, will be grandfathered in.

According to the new law, they still must get immunized when they reach seventh grade.

Do you have proof of this? Doubtful since the rate of most vaccinated diseases were on the decline when vaccines for them became “neccessary.”

So much for land of the free! It is a scary thought that the government can mandate what medical practices we must undergo. Whether you are pro or anti-vaccine, the government taking this particular right away should scare you! This is just the beginning of a very slippery slope.

What else is it about then? Government control of people? Nonsense. The government is obligated to protect children going to public schools, i.e., funded by tax dollars. These are the rules they have set. Don’t like the rules, don’t go to public school.

It is proven that unvaccinated children are more at risk from vaccinated children. Vaccinated children still get the diseases they are vaccinated from AND they are contagious for a period of several days to weeks after vaccination of a live virus. Funny, try researching those people who actually end up getting these supposedly horrible diseases. Most, if not ALL, have been vaccinated against the very disease they get.

It’s more than just public school. It’s private and hone daycare. I do vaccinate my kids and this still concerns me. What next?? Are they going to make it illegal to forget my kids vitamins?? Regulate whether I give natural or mediated cough syrup?? These are my kids, not the government’s. I could understand only public school but this hit private too and I’m not ok with that.

It is exactly about Government control of people! And they picked the perfect thing to start with! Something that is very controversial and people feel passionate about. God help us now that we have turned down this path. Smh.

Sorry but in this instance you are wrong. If you dont want to vaccinate you still have the option to homeschool. I dont want my vaccinated child around unvaccinated kids. They are not 100%.

        Its selfish and uneducated.

    • Rebecca Keenan

      August 24, 2016 at 4:11 am

They can’t mandate it. If you want government-provided education, you have to follow their rules. Don’t vaccinate your kids, teach them yourself.

This isn’t the government forcing anybody to vaccinate their child, it’s giving them immediate consequences for not doing so. I guess the consequence of being turned away from a public school is a bit less abstract than “a child might die because of this decision.”

    • Misty Brouwer

Deven Rocchi a vaccinated child also sheds those same illness for month after receiving a vaccination. So, if they have young siblings at home be sure you have a game plan in place to keep them separate for a month.

      August 24, 2016 at 3:28 am

Dave Henderson, this is not a laughing matter. I am not talking about the child that is immunised, but the child that can’t be, either because they are too young or for medical reasons. Those children to who an infection can be life threatening because the are immunosuppressed, rely for protection on the rest of the community being immunised. As a mother of a cancer child I cannot begin to tell you how ignorant and unfunny your comment is.

Did you realize that your child might have cancer due to being injected with all these vacciness that are mixed up in a laboratory think about it if people kids are vaccinated what’s the issue with those who don’t or can’t be its being so contradictive if your kids is up to date the ones who are not shouldn’t be a threat I guess people don’t realize some of these vacciness shed if anything the un vaccinated kids should be worried about the vaccinated kids that’s why you build a healthy immune system with organic diets , fruits vegetables , no fluoride water , cows milk , dairy none of that the body needs its all in how you feed your body and your children these doctors are not God neither is the government to tell you what you should or shouldn’t do to your kids

The government often tells us what to do or not do, with our children. It’s against the law to beat our children, it’s against the law to starve our children, I could go on and on, but I think you get my point, Glenda. The government can tell you not to do these things and that’s acceptable, but they shouldn’t tell you to vaccinate?

No it won’t, it impedes on parental rights and religious freedoms. This is a personal belief, if YOU want to pump poison into your child’s body that is up to you but it shouldn’t be pushed on people who don’t believe in it. Especially when its a religious belief and it infringes on peoples religious rights.

I’m a mother who has my children vaccinated, albeit one of them being on delayed schedule, but the argument to homeschool your children if you don’t want to vaccinate is asinine. Do you really and truly believe that your kids won’t get sick if they are not attending a school with unvaccinated children? The risk is there no matter what. Unless you also expect for the unvaccinated children to be quarantined to their homes and never let out of the house, there are plenty of other ways other people can still get sick. The parks, shopping stores, anywhere! Not just school! Obviously, the best defense is having all children vaccinated, if possible, but it’s still largely concerning that no one has mentioned the idea of illnesses presenting themselves outside of the school environment. False sense of security definitely springs to mind here.

  28. AKC

    August 24, 2016 at 6:36 pm

That’s why they have home school to stop the government from poisoning children. If you really take a look at and investigate the new vaccine schedule you will notice that most of these vaccines are new and have never been tested. So let’s just test it out on your kids. But not mine. My granddaughter got the Prevnar Vaccine and suffered with Pneumonia for 2 years until I started her on a herbal regiment. A vaccine that give infants 13 differents strains of a virus they don’t have!! NO LOGIC HERE RIGHT!

Actually, an unvaxed child at a theme park got a bunch of vaxed people sick just last year. It doesn’t matter if it’s just for school, because as long as there’s unvaxed people in the public period, everyone is still at risk, vaxed or not.

    • Joanna McKinley

      August 25, 2016 at 12:10 am

Then what is the use of getting vaccinations if they don’t work? If we pump poison into our child’s bodies they can still get the disease, what is the point? That makes no sense.

This is completely unfair to people that don’t believe in shots! The parents that Do believe in shots shouldn’t be worried because their kids wont be affected by any diseases that arise but parents that have religious or personal beliefs should NOT be MADE to pump poison into their children’s bodies because other parents that do say so… this is so wrong. So when my babies are in 7th grade I have to pump poison into their bodies… not ok. I will be joining any parenting group that is trying to get this turned around IMMEDIATELY this is not ok.

How can an invaded child get a Vaxed child sick? I thought the vaccination made them immune?? Your logic stinks!! The shot is to keep you from getting sick. If you are Vaxed, YOU carry the germ!! You are more of a threat to an unvaxed person. An unvaxed person should not be able to get a Vaxed person sick.
And personally, I think if more people were homeschooled by conscientious people, the public’s IQ would rise. And yes, I am the parent of a three time cancer survivor…AND I homeschooled five children!!!
