High School Friends React The Exact Same Photo In Same Spot For 35 Years

It all started with a simple holiday snap of five high school friends on vacation back in 1982.
That one single photo has now become part of a long-standing tradition which has entered its 35th year.
The group of 5 friends who met in Santa Barbara, California have been going on the same vacation and taking the exact same photo every 5 years since 1982.
John Wardlaw, Mark Rumer, Dallas Burney, John Molony and John Dickson posed together for their latest photo this weekend at Copco Lake on the California-Oregon border.
The now 53-year-old men visited the same lake, stayed in the same cabin, sat on the same bench and made the same pose.
They’ve even kept their facial expressions the same! More recently, they also started wearing the same clothes as they did when they were teenagers.
The snap on Saturday is the eighth installment in what they call the Five Year Photo Project.
‘It blows my mind 35 years later we’re recreating that 1982 photo,‘ Dickson said to CNN.
Although they now live separate lives, they always make sure they gather for their five-yearly vacation to Copco Lake.
