SmartSole – A Shoe GPS Tracking Device For Teenagers
Teenagers love being out and socializing, and as much as we would love to, we can’t keep our teenagers indoors 24/7. Most parents keep in contact with their teens via their phone, but as an extra preventative measure you may want to keep track of their whereabouts – just in case they lose their phone. Thankfully we have brilliant companies out there who have realized this and come up with a products like the SmartSole – a GPS tracking device for shoes!
SmartSole will alert parents or caregivers when the person wanders away. Compatible with all smartphones, it will send texts or emails with a direct link to a Google map plotting the wanderer’s location. It also has a custom feature that will send an alert when the person stops moving for a period of time.
The SmartSole looks and feels like a regular pair of shoe inserts and the wearer would not even notice any difference in their footwear.
It comes in several trim to fit sizes for adolescents and adults. It’s made with the highest quality electronic components and assembled in Rhode Island, U.S.A.
The GPS SmartSoles are totally sealed within a polyurethane material, which makes them water resistant – a necessity for those with autism, who are generally attracted to bodies of water.
The battery lasts for about 1-2 days and is re-chargeable within 2 hours.
It costs $299 per pair which includes shipping and the monitoring plan starts at $24.95 per month.
The alternative would be GPS tracking watches – you can find a full list here.
