The Problem: A center tab on the chest clip marked “ABS” may break, posing a choking hazard to the child and increasing the risk of an injury in a crash. Britax stated that no choking injuries have been reported.
The Fix: Britax will provide a more durable replacement chest clip marked “PC” for free.
What Owners Should Do: Britax will begin notifying owners today.
Owners can call the manufacturer at 833-474-7016 or visit www.bsafe35clip.com for more information. Owners can also call the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration at 888-327-4236 or visit www.safercar.gov for more.
