BREAKING NEWS: 3 brothers in child porn bust investigated for Lindsey Baum disappearance

SHELTON, Wash. — Three elderly brothers charged with child porn possession in Seattle are now being investigated for a possible link to the disappearance of a young girl eight years ago. Lindsey Baum vanished from her home in McCleary in 2009.
Missing-person fliers were posted everywhere, and investigators say one of those fliers was found in a Shelton home associated with the brothers. Now the Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office is investigating whether there’s a direct connection to the case.

Lindsey Baum vanished from her home in McCleary in 2011.

“We can’t eliminate them from being in McCleary at the time Lindsey Baum went missing,” said Undersheriff Dave Pimentel. “So it’s our job to go at this as if they were in the area and try to eliminate them or put them in McCleary.”
The brothers often visited the Shelton home 25 miles away, and now with these new sex crime charges “it fits the profile of a number of people that we’ve looked at so it instantly sparked our interest,” said Pimentel.
Shelton neighbor Ketrenna Brewer said, “God willing, something will happen with that as well, even if it’s information to help bring her back.”

At the same time Seattle police detectives returned to the home of the elderly brothers accused of having child pornography. Edwin, Thomas and Charlie Emery are all charged with possession of child pornography after a relative found mounds of illicit material while cleaning their home.
The Internet Crimes Against Children task force commander believes it’s part of decades of child abuse against family members and possibly other young children. Investigators believe it all started when the suspects were young themselves, but victims didn’t report it.
Capt. Mike Edwards, Seattle police, said, “In their mind there was nothing wrong with this. We have very disturbed individuals here.”
The task force hopes that as this story gets out more victims will come forward. Edwards says nothing startling was found Wednesday.
