Choosing the right babysitter can seem daunting and impossible. There are some great babysitters, nannies and daycares that love your child, but there are instances where regardless of all your checks, your child was placed in danger while in their care.

When a parent sees video footage of any ill-treatment toward their child, their heart will sink.

Brittany Dixson from Indianapolis came across a video which was being shared on Facebook. The video was of a young baby, sitting in a splash pad and just moments later, the water sprays and completely drenches the young child.

When I first saw the video it was just like why would you put a child underneath so much water at once? Dixson told the news station. “My newsfeed was lit up, there’s was posts everywhere like whose baby is this?”

she continued. Then moments later, she realized that baby in the video was her 7-month-old daughter, Annora.

Even though the babysitter picks up the child pretty quickly after, there is a lot of danger of putting a young child in the path of so much water — and not saying anything about what had happened, encouraged the mother to fire the babysitter.

We all know that accidents happen, but this one was too dangerous to not pass on to Dixson – and witnesses told the Mother that’s not all that happened that day

The mom says she was also told the babysitter also allowed her young child to walk on the cement, which was very hot, on her bare feet. The babysitter was also seen swinging the young baby really high up in the air.

The Mother took her baby to the emergency room to make sure her daughter was OK because there was a big risk of dry drowning later in her sleep.

“She could have inhaled so much water once she went to sleep that night she could have actually drowned in her sleep because the water would have been trapped in her lungs. But she didn’t have any water in her lungs or anything like that but he said that was a major possibility and he’s glad that I brought her in.”
