Babies were born next to each other at the same hospital and coincidentally given their classic Shakespearean names – Romeo and Juliet.

The hospital photographer noticed the coincidence and asked the parents if they could come together for an adorable, literary-themed photo shoot.

Photographer Cassie Clayshulte facilitated a super-cute newborn photo shoot of the two mini star-crossed lovers that has now gone viral. Now, she has taken follow-up images of babies Romeo and Juliet adorable enough to make even a Shakespearean villain like Tybalt swoon.

“I had been thinking about doing a little-themed shoot for them since their first photo was taken in the hospital, but I wasn’t sure how I was going to style a newborn Romeo and Juliet shoot without it looking a little bit cheesy or morbid,” Clayshulte told Parents.com.

Referring to the way in which the story ends, and the fact that the babies would likely be asleep. She adds, “I was hesitant because I didn’t want my clients subjected to any negative comments by internet trolls who have the audacity to write negative comments on photos of newborn babies.”

However, Romeo’s parents and Juliet’s parents came to her and asked if they could do a shoot. In the end, Clayshulte says, “The parents and I love the photos and could care less what the trolls of the internet think.”

Clayshulte also spoke about the new images of little Romeo and Juliet, “We didn’t want to do an overly themed shoot, just a little session of the two of them with a Shakespearean feel. I chose a lace romper and floral crown I made for Juliet and gave Romeo’s mom a few options in muted colors and she chose this little brown romper that I made. I make almost all of my props, from the outfits to backdrops, blankets, and vintage boxes. I also made the little crown that Romeo is wearing.”
