An amber alert has been raised for two young children by the Illinois State Police.
Authorities say that Lynn Roby, 3, and Jordyn Washington, 2, were taken by their father, 40-year-old Lynn Washington, on Wednesday.
The father is reportedly a suspect in the shooting death of the children’s mother in Markham, Illinois, according to reports by local news outlets.
Law enforcement officials believe that the children are in danger and could be travelling south.
They were last seen in a silver-colored vehicle — a 2004 or 2005 Chevrolet Malibu or Impala.
Anyone who may have information is asked to call 9-1-1.
