A ‘truth campaign’ was announced by Corey Feldman to expose an alleged network of pedophiles working Hollywood.

A video posted to Twitter of Corey Feldman stated that the actor/musician was seeking to raise $10 million to fund the project which will also include a documentary to provide an honest and true depiction of child abuse in the film industry.

“What I am proposing is a plan that can literally change the entertainment system as we know it. I believe that I can also bring down, potentially, a pedophile ring that I have been aware of since I was a child. Right off the bat, I can name six names, one of them who is still very powerful today. And a story that links all the way up to a studio. It connects pedophilia to one of the major studios.” – Corey Feldman

Known for his appearances in films in the 1980’s such as The Lost Boys and Stand By Me, Corey Feldman has claimed that a culture of abuse exists in the film industry and that many are aware of it. In 2013, the actor spoke to the Hollywood Reporter that himself, alongside his Lost Boys co-star Corey Haim, were sexually assaulted as children by men that worked in Hollywood. According to Corey Feldman, his co-star Haim, had struggled with an addiction as an adult and died of pneumonia back in 2010, was raped when he was 11 by one of the men.

The Truth Campaign amassed donations of up to $90,000 on the Indiegogo fundraising website. Corey Feldman, who will direct produce and distribute the documentary, stated that asides from funding and financing the film, the money that was raised would go to help him buy the security and legal team that he requires to help his family until the project is released.

The actor/musician had stated that since the announcement of the first tweet regarding the bringing down of the alleged paedophilic network, his life had turned to chaos. On the 21st of October, Corey Feldman, alongside his band “Corey Feldman and the Angels”, were fined by police in Louisiana after marijuana was found during a search of their tour bus, which Corey questioned the timing of. After that incident, Feldman claimed that he had been in a near-death experience that involved two trucks and that several of the band members had decided to quit fearing for their lives.

The rumors of organized sexual abuse of children in Hollywood had intensified over the years following the release of the documentary “An Open Secret” in 2014. In 2016, Elijah Wood stated that the ‘vipers’ in the industry preyed upon many of his child-actor peers.

Corey Feldman’s allegations came at a time when Hollywood was contending with the growing abuse scandal that surrounded Harvey Weinstein, who had been accused of sexual assault by more than 50 women. Harvey Weinstein, who is being investigated by the law enforcement in New York, Los Angeles and London, denied all claims of non-consensual sex made against him.
