PBSO findings: child no longer wants to live after repeated sexual abuse
PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS 12) —
At 10-years old, a boy told his mother he no longer wanted to live according to an investigation by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
His mother reported to authorities that her son suffered from constant headaches and rampant fear and anxiety. Additionally, the boy could only sleep if she was by his side says a PBSO report.

Through further investigation, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Deputies found that the source of fear stemmed from the brutal sexual battery the boy allegedly endured at the hands of Juan Pablo Suazo Funez.
Detectives say the child detailed the encounters between him and Suazo Funez, 54, of Lake Worth.
The victim says Suazo Funez established a molestation routine, which was referred to as “the naked thing,” where the man would touch and penetrate the boy.
The PBSO report also describes how Suazo Funez would force oral stimulation to and from the boy.
According to the affidavit, Suazo Funez would also show pornography by tricking the victim by calling them “good movies.”
In the report, the victim stated that Juan Pablo Suazo Funez expressed interest in engaging in similar behavior with the child’s cousins.
At times he told the child to not tell his mother or he would go to jail says the report.
When Suazo Funez reported to an interview with PBSO’s Special Victim’s Unit, he gave a full confession, admitting to at least five encounters according to the affidavit.
Suazo Funez is charged with five counts of Sexual Battery on a child, showing obscene material to a minor, and lewd or lascivious molestation.
