Toddler Severely Injured After Run Over by Lawn Mower
A 2-year-old toddler suffered a severe leg injury after he fell off a riding lawn mower and was accidentally run over on Wednesday.
Morrison County Sheriff’s Office said the child was riding the lawn mower with his father at their Swan River Township residence. The child fell off the zero-turn riding lawnmower when his father made a turn. The dad accidentally ran over the child when the power take off (PTO) lever was on.
Authorities were called to the scene at 5:26 p.m and the toddler was airlifted from Little Falls to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale.
The responding agencies present were the sheriff’s office, Minnesota State Patrol, Bowlus First Response Team, Gold Cross Ambulance and North Air Care.
