8-Month-Old Baby Girl In Bouncy Chair Attacked And Killed By Family’s Dog
Absolutely Heartbreaking News
An 8-month-old baby girl from Florida died on Wednesday afternoon after she was bitten by the family’s dog, police say.
ABC affiliate WPLG reported that Miramar Police responded to a home around 11:30 a.m. after reports of a household pet attacking a child.
The baby, Liana Valino, was in a bouncy chair when she was attacked. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
“She was the best thing to ever happen to me,” the baby’s mother, Brenda Villasin, told WPLG. “We smiled every morning. She was my world.”
The family reportedly has 3 dogs, only 1, however, was involved in the attack.
Police said that the dog involved was a 3 to 4 year old pit bull. After the attack, all 3 of the dogs were taken away by animal services and it’s still unclear at this time whether the dog involved will be put down.
Police said that the child’s grandmother was taking care of the girl at the home when the child was attacked.
No additional information has been released at this time.
