Viral Post Nails What Romance Really Is
Brittney Johnson was at the Sally’s Beauty Supply in Columbia, Missouri when she spotted the man trying to pick out a nail varnish color. Intrigued by the sight, she took a picture of the man and low and behold she posted it to Facebook.
“I’m sorry, sir, whoever you are.. for posting a pic of your back side for the world to see.. BUT I couldn’t help it,” she begins in her post. Brittney goes on to explain that the man was trying to pick up a nail varnish for his wife but was struggling with the color.
“This man was on the phone with his wife, looking so hard for the EXACT Olive colored nail polish that she wanted. “I got this, I got this, I’ll be home in a bit,”” she writes. She then let everyone know that the dutiful husband proceeded to take a picture of the nail varnishes to send to his wife in order to secure the desired color.
The conversation goes back and forth between the man and his wife, until in the end he says “You just want all three colors?” according to Brittney’s post. The post has been liked a staggering 211,000 times along with 61,000 comments and 265,000 shares. It has also been shared on the Love What Matters Facebook page which has garnered a lot of feel good comments too.
Brittney’s post is clearly inspired by the man’s devotion to his wife. “THIS IS ALL IT TAKES. Effort. Showing someone that whatever is special to them means something to you because they want it, or need it, or just really like it. Putting yourself a little out of your comfort zone. Letting yourself feel foolish sometimes for the sake of making your girl (or man) happy,” she gushed.
Brittney spoke to Scary Mommy, telling them “Our generation is so full of gimme-selfish people and mediocre love. It was refreshing to hear a man who genuinely just wanted to make his wife happy. Sometimes we forget that the little things are big things and I just thought that if a man was doing for me exactly what he was doing, it would mean so much more to me than he thought.”
I must admit I found the post a little heart-warming too. It’s lovely to see that a man loves his wife so much that he would go to such great lengths to make her happy, especially with something as trivial as a nail polish color.
We all might have some Relationship Goals after seeing this post, and if you’re single you might want to find yourself someone like this. Brittney ended her post with some sound advice for all saying “Don’t settle for less than that y’all. Somebody, somewhere, will love you enough to go shopping alone for your favorite nail polish.”
So, where does one find someone like this guy?
