For some reason, I’m the kind of person that bruises pretty easily. I’ll usually find mystery bruises on my legs and I’ll have no idea how they got there.
When it comes to children, many of their mysterious bumps, bruises and scrapes can often be explained because they are always hurting themselves.
Kids do a lot of crazy things.
They use the living room couch as their own personal trampoline and they RUN like no one is watching them when you’ve repeatedly told them to walk in public!
For one little boy from West Palm Beach, Florida, his bruises may however, tell a different story.
Now, his mother is being charged for failing to explain where all of the bruises from his body are coming from.
The Mom also said the day that her son returned from out of town, she heard him “cry out” from a bedroom while she was in another room.
The boy said that he fell off the bed, and the mom credited the leg injury to that.
What’s more, the Mom claims that she didn’t take her son to the hospital because she didn’t think it was a big deal. She told officials that children get injured all the time and didn’t find the bruises to be very serious.
As for the large patch of hair which appeared to have been pulled from the boy’s head, the mother told officials she assumed it was alopecia — an autoimmune disease that causes sudden hair loss.
The police report however, does not indicate whether the boy had suffered from alopecia before.
It’s absolutely absurd that no one knows what is going on here.
Is this child being abused? Is it self-harm?
Or is there something else going on here?
