Conagra Brands, Inc. have recalled their Hunt’s Chili Kits due to possible contamination of Salmonella – which is commonly referred to as a type of food poisoning.
An infection of this nature can lead to fevers, abdominal pains, and diarrhea.
People usually recover quickly, however young children, pregnant woman, seniors, and those with weaker immune systems are at risk for severe illnesses and hospitalization.
Hunt’s is commonly known for their ketchup products.
The FDA says that the chili product was distributed to various retail stores, military commissaries and online avenues throughout the country.
Consumers are being advised to immediately return the recalled products or throw them away.
