A recall for 25,494 Graco My Ride 65 convertible child car seats has been issued due to a risk of injury to children using them.
The company has issued a recall for its Graco My Ride 65 line of convertible car seats, which includes 8 models and 25,494 total units.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the problem is that the child seat webbing may not adequately restrain a child in the event of a crash. Due to this, the seats do not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.
The affected Graco models include: 1871689, 1908152, 1813074, 1872691, 1853478, 1877535, 1813015, and 1794334.
All of these models were manufactured between May and August 2014 and have a webbing code tag of 2014/06. (Check the tag sewn onto the straps on the back of the seat.)
If you own one of these recalled seats, contact Graco consumer services at 1-800-345-4109 to order a free replacement kit. You can call the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 888-327-4236 for any queries regarding the recall.
No injuries have been reported in relation to the defect.
