Jessica Alba’s The Honest Company has recalled its baby wipes as packages might contain moldy wipes.
The company says it’s unlikely the mold is any more dangerous than most household molds you might encounter, however customers should still check their homes for The Honest Company Wipes.
Recalled wipes include 10-count, 72-count, 288-count, and 576-count packages, and the wipes may also be found in Honest Diaper Cakes, Baby Basics Gift Sets, and Baby Arrival Gift Sets from The Honest Company. Affected UPC codes include the following:
- 10-count packages, UPC 0817810011276, 0816645024079, 0817810011276
- 72-count packages, UPC 0817810011863, 7000000011863, 0816645023584, 0816645023591
- 288-count packages, UPC 0817810014680
- 576-count packages, UPC 0817810028540
On its website, the company says: “We believe the affected product is not likely to cause adverse health consequences. However, impacted wipes do have a spotted discoloration and the aesthetics are unacceptable.”
Check the lot number stamped on the back of the package of your wipes package, to see whether it is affected. You can search lot numbers on The Honest Company’s recall page or you can call the company at 888-862-8818 with questions.
You may also return the wipes to the store for a full refund if you do have a moldy batch.
