Man Dressed As A Clown Tried To Lure A Nine-Year-Old Pennsylvania Girl With Money

A man dressed as a clown tried to lure a 9-year-old girl with money, once again raising the wave of creepy clown sightings last year.

The nine-year-old Pennsylvania girl was reportedly riding around on her scooter Thursday morning at about 10:10 a.m. The girl claims that a man dressed as a clown approached her from behind and tried to lure her away with either a $20 or $50 bill.

The girl ran away in the direction of her grandmother’s house, screaming while the clown disappeared onto nearby railroad tracks.

The clown as tall and thin, with red hair parted down the middle, according to the girl. He was wearing yellow pants with a blue-and-red polka dot shirt, and his arms were painted white.

In the late summer of 2016, a number of clown sightings began in the U.S. and around the world.

The sightings reportedly began in South Carolina, where a person dressed as a clown was spotted lurking around in the woods behind an apartment complex.

The trend exploded from there on and sightings of creepy clowns were reported in North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and then all over the U.S, Canada, England, and Australia.

Parents were terrified and children were on high alert, and in some cases, schools were even closed.

There were no verifiable reports of anyone actually being harmed by a creepy clown and by winter the whole thing had died down.
