Flood Victim Explodes at CNN Reporter for Putting Mic in Her Face While Her Child Is ‘Shivering Cold’
A Hurricane Harvey victim in Texas went off on a CNN reporter on Tuesday as she attempted to interview victims at a shelter.
The reporter, Rosa Flores, asked the woman, a mother named Danielle, what her experience was like trying to save her children from the flood waters. She clearly didn’t appreciate it.
“Four feet of water to get them food on the first day,” she began. “Yeah. That’s a lot of s**t.”
But the mother then grew angry:
“But y’all sit here, trying to interview people during their worst times. Like, that’s not the smartest thing to do. Like, people are really breaking down and y’all are sitting here with cameras and microphones trying to ask us what the f**k is wrong with us. And you really trying to understand with the microphone still in my face. When he’s shivering cold, when my kid’s wet, and you still putting the microphone in my face!”
That’s when the interview ended and Flores sent the camera back to Jim Acosta, who was reporting from a CNN studio.
Acosta referred to the interview as a “very human moment.”
“If you see that nice lady again, please give her our best and tell her that we’re thinking about her and thanks for sharing that with us,” he added. “We appreciate it, thank you.”
