Family Seeking Medical Marijuana For Child Hopes For Legalization

As Oklahoma voters are currently preparing to make a decision on legalizing medical marijuana, a family is using cannabis oil to help a young girl with a rare medical condition.

FOX23 has been following the story of Jaqie Angel Warrior for a long time.

Her mother, Brittany Warrior, said that she needs cannabis oil to help with the seizures she has every day.

Jaqie Angel Warrior suffers from a rare and potentially deadly form of epilepsy and traditional pharmaceuticals haven’t worked well for her, the family says.

The girl started having seizures at 5 months old and at 20 months old, the family put her on cannabis oil at the advisement of her neurologist.

Since then, she has been weaned off all pharmaceuticals.

Brittany said they were losing all hope before they tried cannabis oil.

“Prior to starting cannabis, Jaqie had anywhere from 150 to 300 seizures a day. She was catatonic and life was fading out of her before my eyes,” she said.

The family has traveled back and forth, and even temporarily moved to states with legalized medical marijuana.

Now that State Question 788 is on the ballot in Oklahoma, Brittany Warrior is hoping that voters will support the measure to help her daughter.

Madeline McCann Private Detective Found Dead

The Private Detective who was hired to find Madeline McCann has been found dead.

According to a number of reports, the body of Kevin Halligen was found at his private mansion in Surrey.

Dubbed as a ‘cloak-and-dagger, James Bond-style’ P.I, Kevin Halligen, the 56-year-old, took the case to find the missing daughter of Kate and Gerry McCann back in 2008, since then he’s been accused of conning the parents out of £300,000 in service fees.

When he was hired by the McCanns he was involved in a dispute and was accused of cheating them with the money they have given to find their daughter, who has been missing since 2007, so that he could live a lavish lifestyle – despite not even coming up with any substantial evidence.

He reportedly took up to £300,000 from Kate and Gerry McCann before his contract was terminated. Now with the sudden announcement of his death, police have launched a formal investigation into the circumstances around his death.

Speaking to the MailOnline a former colleague described the scene in which Halligen’s body was found, saying:

The house was covered in blood but apparently that was from Kevin falling down so much.

His body is now in the morgue.

The police are looking into it.A press statement from Surrey Police confirms that they:

… were called to an address in Cobbett Hill Road, Normandy, Guildford, on Monday following a report of a man in his 50s having been taken unwell, who subsequently died.

The death is being treated as unexplained and a file will be passed to the coroner’s office in due course.

It’s believed that the McCaans hired Halligen in 2008 after being impressed by his CV, but, they soon became frustrated with his method of investigation.

A family friend of Kate and Gerry revealed:

He had this sense of cloak-and-dagger, acting as if he were a James Bond-style spy.

The McCanns found him hard to deal with, because he was forever in another country and using different phones.

He promised the earth but it came to nothing.

Madeleine McCann, who was nicknamed Maddie, was only 3 years old when she went missing while on holiday 11 years ago. The parents Kate and Gerry McCann left her and her two younger siblings so they could go out and dine in a nice restaurant.

The investigation into her disappearance cost the police in the UK and Portugal at least £12 million pounds.

Despite all the setbacks and the number of years she has been missing, Kate and Gerry McCann have not given up that they will find their missing daughter.
