“In room and throughout the hotel a variety of experiences inspired by Kevin’s time over the holiday’s here at The Plaza will come to life for guests to enjoy,” according to the Plaza’s website.
The Home Alone packages start at $895, a deal really considering young Kevin spent $967 on services in the movie.
The website states that “Beyond the in room experience, guests are invited to dine in the Todd English Food Hall to taste-test a 90’s inspired menu with upscale versions of childhood favorites, or to head over to the interactive photo-experience where they’ll find themselves in Kevin’s New York journey.”
The package includes an interactive photo booth experience, all 5 Home Alone DVD’s including a special Anniversary DVD for Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, an exclusive Anniversary Backpack and most importantly, an over-the-top ice cream sundae in-room, just like Kevin had in the movie.
Guests also have to option to add to their packages with the hotel Concierge team on hand to book various trips. On option you can have express passes to the top of the Empire State Building, access to Wollman Rink and a 4 hour tour through New York City in a limousine no less, where you can use a specially designed Home Alone Map to guide you through Kevin’s adventure.
You can also arrange to have your own personalized holiday photographer a ‘Flytographer’ to capture your fun filled holiday and turn them into memories.
“Guests will walk their way through the NYC skyline for photo opportunities with the Wet/Sticky Bandits, a Central Park scene and have the opportunity to choose a custom photo booth experience for photos to take home with them.”
The Plaza’s Todd English Food Hall is also getting involved with a retro throwback to the 90’s inspired menu for guests to tuck into to. They will be putting their own personal twists on 90’s classics like SpaghettiOs and Sunny-D cocktails.
So if you are a big Home Alone Movie fan, and have a spare $900 to spend, why not check this experience out. It is sure to be as action-packed as Kevin’s visit back in 1992.
