A mum who crashed her car while drinking from a bottle of vodka BEHIND the wheel with her 20-month-old son in the back has been jailed. See MASONS story MNFLIP. Tania Chikwature, 32, confessed to police she had 'probably been drinking vodka' behind the wheel before crashing at a roundabout and over-turning her car. She was found to be three times over the legal drink driver limit when she crashed her Nissan Qashqai on December 12. Yesterday magistrates at Peterborough, Cambs, jailed her for 26 weeks. Her young son was shaken but did not suffer serious injuries in the crash. District Judge Ken Sheraton said it was lucky she had not killed someone in the collision.

The boy was found by witnesses, hanging upside down in his car seat – unharmed!
The Mother, who also survived, was later cut out of the car by firefighters. She had an alcohol reading of 156 mgs (the legal limit is 80)
