Dogs are incredibly intuitive animals, they are also, without doubt, true to the saying ‘a man’s best friend’.
“Frame the Weim” a dedicated Facebook and Instagram page for Weimaraner pups Brego and Nami document the incredible journey of these pups as they waited for their baby brother to be born.
The pups realised early on that their owner’s tummy was growing. The Spanish family decided to share lots of insanely cute pictures of their pups throughout the mother’s pregnancy and afterwards on the social media pages.
Brego and Nami kept on snuggling up to their owners belly and they figured they were trying to create a bond with what would soon be a baby brother.
When their son was born the parents took every precaution to ensure the safety of their newborn. In their experience Weimaraner dogs are not aggressive and interact well with humans but they knew this could be slightly different with a baby.
Some dogs can become jealous and take a disliking to newborn babies. So in order to prepare their pups they gave them the baby’s blanket to introduce the new scent to the pups.
The parents were fairly confident that the pups would welcome the baby with no problems, and they were right. In the pictures, you can see the dogs cuddling and generally playing with the baby.
The little boy has no fear playing with his ‘big brother’ tugging on his ears and tail but the pup seems to take it all in its stride and plays along with the tot.
According to the parents, the pups and baby love spending time together, and the pictures are a testament to that. Take a look at all the pictures here and decided for
yourself. But I think the bond between baby and dog is just so special.
