Divers have found a body that is believed to be that of a 2-year-old boy who went missing after his family’s car plunged into a Southern California aqueduct 2 weeks ago.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said that the body was discovered in the California Aqueduct in Hesperia on Thursday afternoon.
The identity of the body, believed to be Noah Abbott, will need to be determined by the coroner.
The toddler’s Mom and 3-year-old brother died when their Volkswagen drove through a fence and crashed into the channel on March 2. Noah was apparently swept away.
The 10-year-old brother, Elijah Estrada, was the only survivor of the accident.
The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
