A former Disney employee from Lake County pleaded not guilty to charges of sexual battery on an infant and other related charges this week.
The 57-year-old male, Richard Morgan, was employed at Disney World as a stage tech when Lake County deputies said they discovered photos and videos of him molesting an infant and a young girl in his Mascotte home.
Morgan was not present in court but his appointed public defender entered a written plea of not guilty for him.
Detectives received a tip-off that child pornography was being shared from Morgan’s Lake Jackson house, and he was then arrested, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives searched his home and found images of a young girl, estimated to be younger than 6-years-old, being molested by Morgan, according to the arrest report.
According to detectives, the child now lives in California. California authorities found the child on Feb. 13 and reportedly also arrested her mother on molestation charges. The mother and Morgan met online, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The arrest report also says that a folder labeled “baby b” on Morgan’s computer contained videos of a female infant being molested by Morgan.
After his arrest, Morgan admitted that he sexually abused the infant in his home, authorities said.
A Disney spokesperson said that Morgan was placed on unpaid leave pending the outcome of the case. They, however, did not answer questions about Morgan’s specific role at Disney World or if he had contact with children at work.
Detectives are still trying to identify 2 more victims in photos that were found during the investigation.
Morgan has been charged with three counts of sexual battery, 20 counts of possession of child pornography, 287 counts of production of child pornography and 56 counts of lewd or lascivious molestation.
He is due back in court April 12.
