Deputies Actively Searching For This Man Accused Of Putting 3-Year-Old Girl In Oven

A man in Florida is being sought in a child abuse case after he put a 3-year-old girl in an oven, deputies say.

Terry L. May, 45, from DeLand, is wanted on child abuse charges.

The child abuse charge against him carries a $50,000 bond.

According to the Volusia County Sheriff’s office, a deputy responded to the victim’s home last Thursday to meet with her and an investigator with the state Department of Children and Families.

The 3-year-old girl reported that May frequently hit her with a belt. Deputies say that she had several noticeable injuries, including an extensive abrasion on her ear, several contusions and swelling on the top of her head and forehead, a 6-inch scar on her back, abrasions and lacerations on her feet, hands and leg.

The ear abrasion reportedly appeared to be consistent with a burn injury.

After a medical examination was conducted, the victim told the DCF investigator that May had put her in the oven.

Deputies are actively searching for May, but have not been able to locate him at this time.

No additional information has been provided by law enforcement.

Sheriff Mike Chitwood designated May as the “SCUMBAG of the Week” and is urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact the Sheriff’s Office.

Mom Guilty of Killing 2 Children And Stabbing Herself At Home While Husband Was Asleep

A woman from central Indiana has pleaded guilty to murder in the fatal stabbings of her young children, after her husband filed for divorce.

A plea agreement put forward by Brandi Worley, 31, has beeb accepted on Friday, Jan. 19 in Montgomery Circuit Court, CBS reported.

In the attack on Nov. 17, 2016, Worley reportedly killed 7-year-old Tyler and 3-year-old Charlee Worley.

Court documents indicate that the woman apparently told police she murdered the youngsters because she didn’t want her husband, Jason Worley, to gain custody of the children.

Emergency crews discovered the gruesome crime scene at the family’s home in Darlington, about 40 miles northwest of Indianapolis.

The children were pronounced dead at the scene and Worley was treated for self-inflicted stab wounds to her neck.

Worley later called 911 to report the tragic killings.

“I just stabbed myself and I killed my two children,” Worley said in the audio of the 911 emergency call. “There’s blood everywhere.”

The dispatcher asked her “You stabbed yourself and killed your two children?”Mm-hm,’ Worley told dispatch, before stating that the children’s bodies were “in my daughter’s room on the floor.”

Later, the dispatcher asked the Mother “And what caused you to do this today?”Worley said “My husband wanted to divorce and wanted to take my kids. I don’t want him to have my kids.”

At one point the dispatcher asked Worley how she was feeling.

“Just tired,” she said. “I took a lot of Benadryl.”

Her husband, Jason Worley, told police officers that he was asleep downstairs when the attack occurred, according to CBS. He reportedly filed for divorce one day before his wife killed their two children.

The family released a statement following the murders, as reported by RTV6.

We are shocked and saddened by the sudden loss of our beloved Tyler and Charlee. They meant the world to our family and words cannot describe our feelings of devastation. We are thankful for the outpouring of support from friends, family, and the community. We will grieve forever the loss of our precious little boy and girl.”

Sentencing for Brandi Worley is scheduled to take place on March 19, 2018.
