Democratic Congressman Threatens Don Jr With A Serious Altercation

Don Jr. accuses Democrats of ‘hoping coronavirus kills millions so they can end Donald Trump’s streak of winning’ – and outraged congressman hits back threatening ‘a serious altercation if he comes near me’

Donald Trump Jr. accused Democrats of hyping the coronavirus scare in order to politically hurt his father, President Trump.

‘For them to take a pandemic and seemingly hope that it comes here and kills millions of people so that they can end Donald Trump’s streak of winning is a new level of sickness,’ the young Trump said Friday morning on ‘Fox & Friends.’

Trump Jr.’s comments enraged Rep. John Garamendi, a California Democrat, who told MSNBC’s Hallie Jackson, ‘He should not be near me when he says that,’ because a ‘serious altercation’ would occur.

Donald Trump Jr. said Democrats hoped that coronavirus would come to the United States and kill millions ‘so that they can end Donald Trump’s streak of winning’

Rep. John Garamendi, a California Democrat, threatened a ‘serious altercation’ with Donald Trump Jr. upon hearing those remarks

‘That is just totally outrageous,’ Garamendi commented. ‘I can assure you that there’s not a Democrat or Republican in Congress that wants anybody to be sick.’

‘Don Jr. better not get close to me,’ the congressman repeated. ‘It would not be a healthy situation.’

Donald Trump Jr.’s spokesman Andy Surabian slapped back, claiming Garamendi’s comment amounted to a threat.

‘The outrageous remarks from Congressman Garamendi were beyond the pale and should be universally condemned by Republicans and Democrats alike,’ Surabian said in a statement sent to DailyMail.com.

Surabian called it ‘almost as outrageous’ that MSNBC’s Jackson didn’t push back when Garamendi threatened ‘political violence’ against ‘a member of the first family.’

‘By threatening Don Jr. with physical violence on national TV, Congressman Garamendi made clear to everyone watching that he is better suited to represent Antifa than the people of California’s 3rd Congressional district,’ the spokesman said. ‘He should apologize immediately.’

Donald Trump Jr.’s comments were in similar spirit to ones made by his father and by acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney.

In the early a.m. hours Friday, Trump tweeted, ‘The Do Nothing Democrats were busy wasting time on the Immigration Hoax, & anything else they could do to make the Republican Party look bad, while I was busy calling early BORDER & FLIGHT closings, putting us way ahead in our battle with Coronavirus.’

‘Dems called it VERY wrong!’

Mulvaney appeared Friday morning at the Conservative Political Action Conference, which takes place annually just outside of Washington, D.C.

Instead of Democrats, Mulvaney took aim at the media, suggesting that the press was making hay over the coronavirus outbfreak and the subsequent stock market plunge ‘to bring down the president.’

Mulvaney said that when the administration was first preparing for coronavirus to come to the United States four or five weeks ago it wasn’t being covered because American journalists were devoting their time to covering Trump’s impeachment.

‘While real news was happening, the press was covering their hoax of the day,’ Mulvaney said. ‘What I might do do calm the markets is tell people to turn of their TV for 24 hours,’ he said.
