In the span of 3 days, the FBI and local authorities across the country said they saved 84 minors from sex trafficking and arrested 120 sex traffickers as part of a nationwide effort to stop underage human trafficking.
The FBI said in a press release on Wednesday that the nationwide effort dubbed ‘Operation Cross Country XI’ led to the recovery of 84 minors over the weekend of October 12, 13, 14, and 15th.
According to the FBI press release, 12 children were recovered in Michigan alone and eight sex traffickers or pimps were arrested. They also said they arrested 46 adults who they say were involved in prostitution.

“We at the FBI have no greater mission than to protect our nation’s children from harm. Unfortunately, the number of traffickers arrested-and the number of children recovered-reinforces why we need to continue to do this important work,” reported FBI Director Christopher Wray. “This operation isn’t just about taking traffickers off the street. It’s about making sure we offer help and a way out to these young victims who find themselves caught in a vicious cycle of abuse.”
Officials credited local, state, and federal partners for their work that led to the arrests.
“While the recovery of exploited juvenile victims remains our priority, the FBI will continue to work tirelessly to rescue anyone being commercially trafficked and exploited,” stated David P. Gelios, Special Agent in Charge, Detroit Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Operation Cross Country started from 2003 and has led to the rescue of more than 6,500 child identifications and locations.

NEWS: Kensington Palace Just Announced Due Date for Prince William and Duchess Kate’s Baby
Prince William and Duchess Kate’s second child, Princess Charlotte, was born in May 2015. It wasn’t long after her birth that Kate already had baby fever again.
According to a US Weekly insider, she “wanted another almost since giving birth.” On Sept. 4, we learned the much-wanted third royal baby was coming along.
The press release stated, “Their royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child. The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.”
There was plenty of delight surrounding the announcement, but it was issued sooner than Kate would have preferred. A US Weekly source said that she would have rather waited until after she was 12 weeks pregnant to announce.
However, Kate had a planned engagement at the Hornsey Road Children’s Centre that she could no longer attend. She couldn’t make it because of the pregnancy complication hyperemesis gravidarum.
They wanted to be transparent about the reason for her absence. Therefore, the third pregnancy was announced along with the cancellation of that engagement.
“She has such a rotten time during these early months but she’s out of the woods now and doing well. I think when you see it referred to as extreme morning sickness you don’t quite understand how debilitating it can be, but it truly is a grueling condition and can make it impossible to do anything else,” E! News reported on a source sharing about Kate.
As Kate had been feeling better, another exciting announcement regarding baby number three was released. We’ve all been wondering when this baby would make his or her arrival!
Kensington Palace tweeted on Oct. 17 the baby’s due date. The statement read, “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in April 2018.”
The due month of April was given without a specific date. Kate doesn’t need the stress of having the whole world countdown to the exact due day or keep track of whether or not the baby is “overdue.”
Prince George has a birthday in July, and Princess Charlotte has a May birthday. As long as this baby is born in April, he or she shall have their own birthday month!
