Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances around a baby dumped at a dumpster in Enid.
Officers were dispatched around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday to an area in the 1600 block of South Second Street, after someone reported a foul odor coming from a nearby dumpster.
Police then found a dead baby inside a roll-off dumpster. The body was sent to the medical examiner’s office in Oklahoma City.
Police do not have anyone in custody in connection with the case as yet, officials said.
Authorities are however investigating the identity of the baby’s mother, how long the baby had been in the dumpster and the cause of death.
