It’s been 4 months since authorities found a toddler at the Texas-Mexico border — and they have still not been able to identify him.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, in collaboration with the El Paso Police Department, has now released a statement asking the public for assistance in identifying the child.
Authorities believe that he’s name is Luis. He was found in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, on Feb. 22, but authorities believe the child may be a U.S. citizen because he is fluent in English.
The child has a small birthmark above his left eyebrow.
Anyone who recognizes the child or have any information regarding his identity are asked to contact Crime Stoppers of El Paso at 915-566-8477 or the El Paso Police Department Communications office at 915-832-4400.
